Paul Helfer has over fifteen years of providing accounting, auditing, and assurance services to small and middle-market, businesses and organizations. Paul has extensive experience in serving real estate developers and property managers, construction contractors, professional service firms, manufacturing companies, and employee benefit plans. Paul started his career in public accounting at Grant Thornton LLP.

 

Immediately, prior to joining Verity CPAs, Paul was an audit senior at PKF Pacific Hawaii, LLP, (“PKF”) where he supervised associates and interns and was charged with leading engagements from planning to financial statement issuance. During his time at PKF, he was also involved in numerous consulting engagements including due diligence projects and forensic accounting services.

 

Paul received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with an Accounting Emphasis from U. C. Santa Barbara and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

 

Paul is licensed to practice as a CPA in the State of Hawaii. Paul serves on the Board of the Hawaii Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association, on the Hawaii Society of CPAs (“HSCPAs”) Young CPA committee where he is involved in planning and executing community outreach efforts and community service events, and is a member of the AICPA, and HSCPA.
